About
Meet Chef Amy Lipton, food enthusiast, globetrotter, culinary educator, and perpetual student.
I believe in the power of sharing & caring thru food. I wanted to create a space where people can connect to the intrinsic caring and generosity that comes from cooking and feeding others—Joyful Kitchen is that space—where food and happiness are one and the same.
For me, cooking is as much about flavors and ingredients as it is hospitality, generosity of spirit, and joy. I firmly believe that a warm welcome and a homemade meal can elevate any human interaction and make people feel well cared for and loved.
My cooking is informed by cuisines from all over the world - a blend of global cuisine, seasonal, first-rate ingredients, and classic comfort food – all inspired by culinary travel and classic French training.
I have spent the past 28+ years in and out of the professional cooking industry. From my formal training in NYC at the Institute of Culinary Education in Classic French Cooking, to catering in Tokyo, Japan for embassy and corporations, to opening Joyful Kitchen in 2013, cooking and feeding people has been my personal and professional passion.
