Let’s Get Cooking!
We’ve been helping people cook, not just follow recipes, since 2013.
Joyful Kitchen helps make cooking accessible to food enthusiasts of all skill levels. Our wide range of classes provides a wonderful opportunity to develop and expand your kitchen skills, find inspiration, or help you gain the kitchen confidence to cook deliciously healthy, simple meals from scratch.
Located in a private home, the cooking school has a welcoming, comfortable feel, so each class feels more like a social gathering rather than an intimidating classroom. Our small, intimate class size tailors learning to participant needs, experience, and food preferences. We accommodate our guest’s dietary restrictions as best as we can, and just ask you to indicate food allergies at sign up.
All recipes are tried, tested, and tasted, so that each participant will enjoy plenty to eat, and receive recipe handouts to bring home and cook again. Remember to come hungry.
Class Categories
All our classes are organized into four course categories.
Each season Joyful Kitchen will offer a new series of classes under these 4 themes.
1.
Savor the Season
Immerse yourself in the bounty and flavors of the four seasons. Enjoy classes that celebrate the harvest, seasonal styles of cooking, and festive holiday trends and traditions.
2.
Restore Your Health
With an emphasis on wellness and managing health challenges, these classes will help you recast recipes to nourish your body and mind, and enjoy your food in spite of allergies and intolerances. You will discover that participating in the cooking process heightens your appreciation of food, as you develop the kitchen skills necessary to help you achieve your health goals, and build good habits for life.
3.
Feed Your Wanderlust
Join us on a multi-cultural culinary voyage as we explore flavors and foods from around the world. These workshops will inspire home cooks to think globally, expand your food borders, and prepare creative and delicious dishes from world cuisines near and far. Joyful Kitchen brings its love of travel, people, and the food of each country to your kitchen. No passport required!
4.
Cookbook Addiction
I want to help you grow your collection. Usually one cookbook is featured per class; a new release or an iconic classic. We prepare and feast on several recipes from the book, and learn what inspires and characterizes the author. You will each receive a copy of the book to add to your own cookbook library.
